Kelly Stewart is a University of South Dakota alumna who is currently a men's and women's college basketball analyst, primarily working with ESPN. She also serves as the Manager of Financial Affairs for the Omaha AAA Hockey Club.
Originally from Amery, Wisconsin, Stewart graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Media & Journalism (2014) and a Master’s degree in Communication (2016). She also played basketball for the Coyotes, and was a captain for the 2016 WNIT Championship team, contributed to the Summit League Tournament title in 2014, and helped the ‘Yotes earn two Summit League Regular Season titles (2015, 2016).
Following graduation, Stewart joined Midco Sports Network in May of 2016 as an intern and was hired as a full-time employee in July of that same year. Stewart served as an analyst for MidcoSN’s live Division I men’s and women’s basketball broadcasts; hosted various pregame, halftime and postgame shows for FCS football and Division I basketball games on the network, and sidelined for MidcoSN’s broadcasts of Missouri Valley Football Conference games. She also hosted Midco Sports Tonight, which launched in the Fall of 2017 as a daily, one-hour sports show covering all sports in the region, from high school to Division I.
Stewart’s passion for storytelling and knowledge of athletics has taken her career to some of the most sought after sporting events; reporting at the ESPYs in 2017 and the NCAA women’s Final Four in 2016.
